The Solanus Casey Food Pantry is located in New Bedford, Massachusetts in our New Bedford Office and serves residents on the Southcoast, Massachusetts, including Bristol county.

The food pantry is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10AM-12PM to the community.

For verification of identity, The Solanus Casey’ Food Pantry will accept Masshealth or insurance card, EBT card (non-photo), Library card, local supermarket card, public transit card, or photo ID if it is convenient for the recipients. In addition, recipients are asked to provide proof of residency; utility bills, bank statements, lease agreements, property tax bill or verbal verification are accepted. The Solanus Casey Food Panty may ask for a recipients’ self-declaration of income eligibility when it is a requirement of a federal program.

The entrance to the food pantry is to the left of the main entrance, down the balconied path.

Catholic Charities, together with St. John the Baptist, St. Mary’s Dartmouth, St. James, Neustra Senora de Guadeloupe, Our Lady of the Assumption, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, and St. John Neumann, collaborate in the everyday operations.

Also, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Child Nutrition Partnership, Salvation Army, Citizens for Citizens, First Baptist Church, along with local schools and community members/groups/drives support the food pantry. This collaborative team has helped us to become the largest provider of food outside of the Greater Boston area servicing close to 800 clients and their families monthly. In addition, the Food Pantry helps to feed emergency situations in the community, and the numerous residential and other clients of CCFR.
